Presentations

Posted by Scott on March 7, 2007 at 7:21 pm in: Uni.

I’ve done a fair few of these in my time, whether Powerpoint or old school, group or just me being told to talk to a large group of people at random. Some were terrible, but mostly I managed to get through it. I’ve got one on Friday, and I’m not usually this nervous.

This may be due to the “invited guests” who “usually ask questions”. It may be that the lecture theatres at Uni are slightly larger than my English classroom. It may, most likely, be that I can’t remember how I usually feel before presentations.

At the end of the day, however, I have no real reason to worry. Our group (8, 3 of us speaking) has spend somewhere around 9 hours working on this so I’m more than prepared.

Some of my friends are performers who’ve stood up in front of many a crowd on their own. I don’t know whether they feel extremely nervous before or get used to it. Hopefully, it’ll all be fine and we won’t (despite my suspicious) be the last or worst group to present. Hopefully.
